A BIG Congrats to the Vampire Diaries cast for winning Favorite New Drama at last nights People’s Choice Awards!!

Vampire Diaries returns with all new episodes on Jan 21st on The CW!!

In the DUH category, EW.com is reporting that The CW has picked up ‘The Vampire Diaries’ for a full season with a total of 22 episodes!!

‘The Vampire Diaries’ had the biggest premiere in the networks history, and the show continues to stay strong in the ratings!!

CW is canceling the Ashton Kutcher produced TV Series ‘The Beautiful Life: TBL’ after just 2 weeks on the air.

“The CW announced today that it was pulling The Beautiful Life starring Mischa Barton off the schedule and that production would cease immediately.”

The TV drama debuted with only 1.6million in ratings.

This is the first cancellation of the 2009-10 TV season!!

Ratings are coming in for the CW’s ‘The Vampire Diaries’!!!

4.8 million viewers, 2.1 preliminary adults 18-49 rating.

This officially makes ‘Vampire Diaries’ the highest rated series premiere for the network!!!

First up the new casting news for several characters

Marguerite MacIntyre, perhaps best known for her role as Nicole Trager on Kyle XY, has been cast as Sheriff Forbes in The Vampire Diaries.

Robert Pralgo, whom you may recognize from Army Wives, will be Mayor Lockwood, and Atlanta-born Susan Walters will play Mrs. Lockwood.

Chris Johnson, of South Beach, will be Logan Fell (formerly known as Logan Mills in the casting call posted some days back). If you’ve read the books, you know why we’re particularly intrigued by this new character.

And we’re happy to say that despite his lack of mention in the official CW press release, Chris William Martin is still kicking around the Salvatore Boarding House as Zach.

Some of these characters are from the book and some look to be very new!!!
