The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be live on March 7th with hosts Steve Martin and Alec Bladwin.

Eclipse Footage to Debut at the Oscars?

According to EW.com, The Academy Awards (the Oscars) are looking to follow in MTV Movie Awards footsteps by debuting exclusive movie footage in order to drum up ratings.

And what movie are the they thinking…’The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ which is due out on 6/30/10.

The Oscars have been in a rating slump since 1998 when Titanic almost did a complete sweep of the awards.

Last years Oscars which were hosted by Hugh Jackman and featured Rob Pattinson as a presenter had a 10% increase in ratings.
