Well DAMN, the numbers are in and The Twilight Saga: New Moon’s first trailer got 10.6 million online views via Myspace & MTV.com in its first week.  The trailer was viewed by 5.6 million people during the live telecast of the 2009 MTV Movies awards.

“LOS ANGELES, June 9 /PRNewswire/ — The movie trailer for Summit Entertainment’s THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON received 10.6 million online views in its first week from the trailer’s domestic launch partners, MySpace and MTV. The trailer views on MySpace set a new record for the site with a total of 4.2 million online views within the first 24 hours and a total of 7.8 million within the first seven days. After being seen by 5.3 million viewers during its broadcast debut during the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, the trailer also received a total of 2.8 million online views on MTV.com within the first week.

The achievement is not only a record for MySpace, but also surpassed the views of the third and final trailer for the first film TWILIGHT, which received 3.2 million views in its first 48 hours online.

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, and directed by Chris Weitz will be released November 20, 2009.”

Lets not forgot about YouTube.com, if you add in some of the YouTube postings (including Twilights YouTube page), those hits total to 6.8 million views to date.

So, if you add all that up that is roughly 23 million views in a little over a week!!!

A lot happened this week in the world of Twilight, in case you missed any of it, here is a new round up of what happened this week.

• Twilight picked up 5 MTV Movie Awards for Best Movie, Best Female Performance – Kristin Stewart, Breakthough Perfomance Male – Robert Pattinson, Best Fight, and Best Kiss.  The lost Best Song to Miley Cyrus.  Even though Twilight was nominated for 7 awards, Rob and Taylor were up againist each other in the same category.
• The teaser trailer for “The Twilight Saga:New Moon” debuted during the MTV Movie Awards…and it was awesome.  If you haven’t seen it yet you can check it out HERE.
• Rob Pattinson landed in NYC (my stomping grounds) to start filiming “Remember Me”, his new movie with Summit Entertainment.
• 3 new movie stills were released showing the goodbye scene, Dr. Cullen attending to a bleeding Bella, and a wet and shirtless Jacob Black.  Those images are availabe in our New Moon Photo Gallery.
• -Numbers were released for the amout of hits the New Moon trailer got in about the first 24hrs, and the total came to around 5.6 millon.  That only counts the “Official” releases on Myspace and MTV.com.  There are quite a few on YouTube.com that have generated well for 3 million alone.
• Stephenie Meyer was name #26 on Forbes.com Top 100 Celebrity power list; beating out President Obama, Ryan Seacrest, and Miley Cyrus.
• Stephenie Meyer also took to her official website to say she was deleting her Myspace page.  Also, she stated that all Facebook and Twitter pages that say they are her are fakes.
• Speaking of Twitter, the website managed to suspend one of the more popular fansites hisgoldeneyes.com.  If you were following them on twitter you can now follow the sites founder @kimmymary.

Cam Gigandet did a pretty LOL video for FunnyorDie.com as a plug for voting for Twilight at the MTV Movie Awards.

I think what if soo funny about this is that, rabid fans to confuse the actors for the characters they play in the movie.

Voting for the MTV Movie Awards is open till May 27th!!!

Once again we all have a reason to watch the 2009 MTV Movie Awards…and that reason is because the first clips from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” will be released!!!

Last year we got to see the “Ballet Studio” clip.  Rob, Kristen and Taylor will all be present, and all three are up for awards this year.

So set those DVR’s, and get ready to reply said clip over and over again!!!

Well Done Twilighters!!!! After opening up the voting to the public to pick the final nominees for the MTV Movie Awards, Twilight took the lead with 7 nominations.
