Is ‘Breaking Dawn’ to be 2 Films…Not So Fast!!
Earlier today DeadlineHollywood.com announced that Summit Entertainment is officially making ‘Breaking Dawn’ (the 4th and largest novel in the series) into 2 films. With filming starting in October and both films being shot back to back.
Only problem with this…Its not Official!!
Per GossipCop.com
The official word given to Gossip Cop from a rep for Summit is, “No decision has been made and as we have said all along we are continuing to work with Stephenie Meyer to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen.”
HOWEVER, a well-placed source tells Gossip Cop dividing Breaking Dawn into two pictures “is the direction that it’s going in.” We’re told that from a practical standpoint, separating the story into two parts and shooting back-to-back is what makes most sense.
Earlier reports seem to be fairly accurate when it comes to timing, specifically, that filming may begin in October.
Hopefully this means we will be getting some kind of official statement soon from Summit!!

James Cameron Truly is “King of The World”
‘Avatar’ is the #2 highest grossing movie worldwide, coming in behind ‘Titanic’.
That means the no matter what James Cameron is truly the “King of the World” when it comes to Box Office numbers.
‘Avatar’ which is currently at $1,131.8 billion worldwide still needs around $711 million dollars to out rank ‘Titanic’ holding of $1,842.9 billion.
Now I didn’t really feel the need to put up a review on this, but I will say that I have seen it (in IMAX 3D) and it was a beautiful movie. Plot wise is was okay, but visually is was amazing.
Now, if your wondering how ‘Avatar’ is doing domestically, that is a different story. Currently, ‘Avatar’ has brought in $374.4 million stateside, which is good enough for #2 (in 2009). In order to beat out ‘Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen’, ‘Avatar’ will need to rake in another $27.7 million dollars. That really should be to hard considering just yesterday (1.6.10) it brought in a little over $6 million. However, most of the drive is coming from overseas.
So Congrats James Cameron, it really did take yourself to beat well yourself.
